The Environmental Network is a business born out of the heritage and legacy of Food North West. Our goal is to work with businesses to reduce carbon footprints, reduce waste, reduce cost and help deliver sustainable profit in a way that's good for the customer and the planet. What is the aim of your work for a car showroom?

The purpose of a car showroom is to display the cars, if you forgive my play on words “in the best possible light”. Our aim is to create an atmosphere that achieves that, whilst meeting the exacting brand standards of the client and ensuring a comfortable, welcoming environment for the customer and staff. It’s about creating an environment that customers are happy to stay in, staff are happy to work in and in which the cars are properly presented.
 

How is this aim implemented? 

It is important to realise that an optimal lighting installation is about the light emitted, not the lights, people don’t go into car showrooms to look at lights. It is also about the quality of the product and the full life cost of the project.
We choose quality LED products because in our view they win on all these points. They provide the best of light and deliver on full life costs, energy savings and reliability.
 

What effect does lighting have on the sale? 

There is no doubting that properly lit and displayed products will sell better than poorly lit and poorly displayed products. One of the greatest benefits of our design using LED products is that “what the customers see is what they get”. The challenge has always been to show the cars in the true colour and accentuate the cars features and design, as we say it’s “CARS IN HD”.
